This is a service that is normally required on an ad-hoc basis and would be charged at an hourly rate as appropriate.
Once a business property has been purchased the duty of ensuring that the fire safety standards are satisfactory pass to the new owner or employer. Where standards are inadequate it can be a costly exercise to upgrade the fire precautions e.g. £20,000 for a fire alarm system.
Our pre-purchase survey involves an experienced fire safety consultant visiting the proposed building and preparing a report of the fire precautions in light of the intended use.
This then assists the client to decide whether they wish to proceed with the purchase or to negotiate a reduction in the purchase price.
