Graham spent nearly 35 years in Derbyshire Fire Brigade, the last 12 of which were based at various locations carrying out the role of a Specialist Fire Safety Inspector. During this time he attended several training courses at the Fire Services College.
In addition to the Fire Safety Inspectors course, he was also trained in Fire Safety Engineering and a Colt Smoke Ventilation. Since retiring from the Fire Brigade Graham has worked has a Fire Safety consultant working mainly carrying out fire risk assessments and fire training for the NHS .
