This course is suitable for:

  • Personnel employed in all types of risk
  • Managers
  • Heads of departments
  • Fire Co-ordinators
  • People who have been nominated as fire wardens or deputy fire wardens responsible for the day day fire safety of a building or part of a building.
  • People who have been nominated to assist in the evacuation of a building.

 Content

  • The chemistry of fire.
  • The behaviour of fire.
  • General fire precautions.
  • Contacting the Fire Service.
  • Fire prevention.
  • Types, classifications and use of fire extinguishers
  • Fire procedures – specific to the employee’s environment if available.
  • The role of the Fire Warden and Fire Coordinator.

Duration: Up to 3 hours depending on additional content requested.

Maximum number of participants: 10

Cost:  From £395.00 per session (discount can be given if more than 1 session per day is booked).

Fire Warden Jacket

A fire extinguisher practical session can be added to this training.  For a group of 20 people, we would expect use
no more than:

2 x Water Extinguishers   (£10 per extinguisher + VAT)
3 x CO2 Extinguishers      (£20 per extinguisher + VAT)
2 x Foam Extinguishers    (£20 per extinguisher + VAT)
1 x Dry Powder  (£20 per extinguisher + VAT)

Extinguishers can be supplied by Fire Safety Specialists Ltd, or sourced by the client.

Live fire practical extinguisher training can be added to this session at a cost of £145.00 ex vat.

Whatever your requirements are, we will work with you to create programmes that fit in with your diary. Following your initial training session, we encourage you to take advantage of our competitively priced refresher sessions.  In addition, we supply ‘leave behind’ basic reminder instructions for ongoing use.
